Sustainable City

Climate change confronts us with a major common task: how can we live more sustainably and how can each individual contribute to making life (in the city) more sustainable? Greenhouse gas emissions in particular are considered a cause of climate change. The goal must therefore be to reduce these emissions - every individual and all together.

Join in and think about how we can make our cities and our lives in them more sustainable and fundamentally reduce emissions. Use the following exercises to expand your knowledge, try new things and share your findings with others.

What’s in it for me?
  • I’ll explore emissions in different areas of life such as transport, nutrition and architecture.
  • I’ll identify opportunities to reduce my personal emissions and thus my personal carbon footprint.
  • I’ll encourage others to reduce their emissions with me.

Transport

By completing this task, you will learn more about the impact of different means of transport on emissions. Question your own use of transport and how you contribute to emissions. What alternatives do you have?
